Disneyland Quebec Park: an Introduction and Layout
OVERVIEW:
This is a unique park in the resort, and the first to open. Inspired by the classic Magic Kingdom-style parks, this park has eight immersive areas that guests can come and see. This park marries the classic Disneyland and Magic Kingdom parks of the United States with foreign parks, most especially Paris. It has a lot of things from all of these parks, as well as some new ones to make it unique.
LAYOUT:
Similar to Disneyland Paris, guests enter the park by going under the Disneyland Hotel. From there, they enter the Victorian-style American town of Main Street, U.S.A. As they go down the street, they make their way to the hub, Gardens of Dreams. With the park's icon, the Castle of Dreams in the center of it, guests can find beautiful gardens inspired by many of the Disney Princesses.
Going clockwise around the park, guests first come into Adventureland. This exotic area sends guests to the most enigmatic tropical locations in the world, from the jungles of Africa to the Mayan ruins of Mexico, to the pirate-infested seas of the Caribbean and the desert of the Middle East. Then, guests can travel to Westernland, set in the Old Western mining town of Thunder Mesa, where mysterious forces dwell.
n the back of the park are two fantasy-themed areas. Storybookland is a dense forest area themed to fairy tales, especially princess stories. Nearby is the less princess-oriented Fantasyland, which focuses on other stories.
Finally, guests come to two areas of science fiction and the future. Discoveryland is a world of tomorrow envisioned from the past, with the ideas of visionaries like Jules Verne, H. G. Wells, and Leonardo da Vinci are fully realized. Then, guests come to the science fiction land of Tomorrowland, a world of advanced technology and space adventures.
In short, this is a very unique Disney resort that blends American and European style, which is pretty much what the Quebec region of Canada is.
